Medway riverside path
The Medway passes through one of Britains finest Landscapes. This study develops proposals for a shared-use riverside path 32km long connecting communities and providing routes for commuting and leisure.
The ecologically rich river side already connects a number of historic settlements. One short section near Aylesford remains problematic. At the river's highest tidal reach, the existing eroding river path is squeezed by industry and hostile transport infrastructure. This project proposes a new network of local routes to effectively unlock this area, focussing on a new bridge and enhanced habitats along the entire widened and improved route.
