Sarah Shaw

Since joining Adams & Sutherland in 2010, Sarah has been a project architect on several high-profile projects, involving complex stakeholder and/or public consultation issues. Sarah was made Associate in 2014 and completed a RIBA Conservation course in the same year to become a Conservation Registrant.

Sarah led the work to refurbish the Grade II Listed Beckford Primary School over 4 years, undertaking extensive refurbishment and extension work to both buildings and the school playgrounds. Sarah always seeks opportunities to introduce play in all projects, understanding the important role play can have, particularly in the public realm, making spaces that work for all.

Sarah was the Associate in charge of Fashioning Poplar, overseeing the technical design and working closely with the client and wider stakeholder group to develop the designs for the repurposing of the garage site. This work included feasibility studies for both the Trampery and London College of Fashion to develop the brief and tailor the design to their requirements.
