Community Links took over the management of Newham City Farm from the London Borough of Newham at the end of 2009. As part of their successful bid, drawing upon both existing ambitions and new ideas, it prioritised a phased programme of improvements to the farm.

The vision addresses existing problems, upgrade and extend facilities and amenities, and look to secure a successful future for the farm through fulfilling its wider potential. Proposals are for a covered riding facility with accompanying stables for ten horses, a ‘commercial’ market garden with greenhouses, a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing visitors centre and a new collection of buildings including a new café, farm shop and office, and play barn.

A masterplan sets out the wider vision for the farm and proposes a framework for its phased delivery.
